El Nido (El Nido) is not in vain called the pearl of the Philippines. In my opinion, El Nido is the most beautiful place not only in the Philippines but in the whole of Asia!

El Nido is the most beautiful place I've seen in Asia!
El Nido is a nature reserve consisting of the island, with beautiful bays, majestic rocks, snow-white Paradise beaches, secret lagoons, clear turquoise water and the beautiful underwater world.

It was with the seen photos of El Nido in one of the reports at the forum Vinsky and began my dream of this distant country. I remember in the fall of 2008, sitting with my friend Ira in an empty office and dreamed that someday we will go to the Philippines and visit the magnificent beaches of El Nido.

Then the trip to the Philippines seemed a distant and unreal dream, the crisis of 2008 broke out (who remembers, the ruble and the hryvnia then greatly depreciated, it seems now we are waiting for something like that...), the company closed, wages were not paid and everything seemed gray, it was very sad and hopeless. As we experienced that hard winter, I even went to Egypt for the New year, and in Kiev hung out with my favorite friends in viola, in the Docker and in 44, and then spring came and with her life gradually began to mend

Years passed, during that time I visited many other countries: Turkey, India, Czech Republic, Croatia, again Turkey, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and finally realized his dream and visited the Philippines and reached El Nido, enjoying the majestic nature of this place, nakupalis on the beaches, visited the famous boat tours, held in Paradise 5 unforgettable days!

How to get to El Nido
Getting to El Nilo is not easy! After all, the road to Paradise is not easy  there are three options how to get to El Nido:

1. The fastest, but also the most expensive way to get to El Nido is by plane. Flights are operated by ITI from Manila to El Nido three times a day

El Nido-Manila 9:00, 13:00, 17:00
Manila-El Nido 7: 00, 11: 00, 15.00
The cost of a ticket is 150 dollars one way per person. Free of charge you can bring only 10 km of Luggage (including all Luggage, including hand Luggage, up to the little things!) You are weighed along with their Luggage

BUT: these flights were originally thought that would carry guests of expensive hotels, and places that will remain on the plane, to sell to others. Tickets cannot be purchased on the airline's website. Tickets Manila – El Nido or El Nido to Manila you can buy or the ITI office in Manila or at Artkafe in El Nido. I advise you to contact the Art Cafe in advance and buy tickets by paying via PayPal.

The flight is carried out by small airplanes: in the off season for 18 seats, in the season for 48 seats. Flights are often canceled, transferred, the airport in El Nido is periodically opened, then closed.

If you still managed to fly by plane to El Nido, to the village can be reached by tricycle for 100-150 pesos.

2. The most common option to get to El Nido by minivan or bus from Puerto Princesa.

First you have to fly to Puerto Princesa from Cebu or Manila. Tickets can be bought here or on the websites of airlines. And then use one of the ways:

2.1. Private minivan (convenient if you are traveling with a company or family) – 5000 -8000 pesos per car.

2.2. Van for 14 seats, depart from Puerto Princesa from 5: 30 to 18: 00 approximately every hour and a half. Now transportation is carried out by three companies: Fortwally Shuttle Company, Eulen Joy, Lexus Shuttle Company. It's worth 600 pesos. The journey time is 5-6 hours. Minivans (except for minivans of Fortwally company.) depart from the San Jose terminal.

2.3. On the RoRo buses (483 pesos per bus with air conditioning and 295 without air conditioning), Cherry Bus (465 pesos bus with air conditioning). Buses depart from Puerto Princesa from 5 am to 21:00 approximately every two hours from the San Jose terminal. Travel time is 7-8 hours.

We were driving a minivan from Sabang for 900 pesos per person. Travel time was a little more than 6 hours. The worst part of the road almost next to the El Nido: a lot of bends and broken road for the last half hour I was seasick, definitely take some Dramamine. Although the road is being built and I think that very soon to get to El Nido will be easier and faster.

A tricycle ride from the bus station is 50 pesos away.

3. By boat from Busanga (Crowns). First, you need to fly to the airport Coron (Busuanga), and then swim 8 hours by boat to El Nido. But boats do not swim every day, often break and even a couple of times drowned! We used this method in the opposite direction – from El Nido sailed by boat to Koron, spent 2 days there, and then flew to Manila (by the way, we were very lucky and we got on a boat that goes not 8 hours, only 4! But this is what I will write).
